An evening with Siggi & Juliana Haider<\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The accordionist and composer Siggi Haider not only knew Werner Pirchner personally and recorded the \u201aSonata of the Harsh Life\u2018 with him in the recording studio, but he also plays the accordion that Pirchner \u2013 who died in 2001 \u2013 had specially made for himself. Together with his daughter Juliana (saxophone and vocals), Siggi Haider performed works by Pirchner, such as excerpts from the \u201eKleine Messe in C\u201c, as well as pieces by Bert Breit, at a concert in October 2023. The audience was then invited to choose a piece from LaChapelle\u2019s Bible cycle, to which father and daughter performed a clever and much-applauded improvisation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
