\u201eFlowers are \u2026 bouquets for prayers, gardens of cherished devotion.\u201c Eric Fischl calls his contribution to this catalogue \u201eLyrics of Repentance\u201c. And in his poetic text, the artist himself speaks of the \u201eimage of the flower\u201c as a \u2018placeholder for the light and the dark, the inexpressible and the concrete\u2019. Published to mark the exhibition at KiS \u2013 Kunst in Seefeld, the catalogue contains, in addition to texts by Ross Bleckner and Eric Fischl, a reflection by Rafael Jablonka.
