\u201eFlowers are \u2026 bouquets for prayers, gardens of cherished devotion.\u201c Eric Fischl calls his written contribution to this catalogue \u201ePoetry of Repentance\u201c. And in his poetic text, the artist himself speaks of the \u201eimage of the flower\u201c as a \u2018placeholder for the light and the dark, the ineffable and the concrete\u2019. The catalogue, published to mark the exhibition at KiS \u2013 Kunst in Seefeld, contains not only texts by Ross Bleckner and Eric Fischl but also a reflection by Rafael Jablonka.
