In 2020, these watercolour paintings gave him a new approach to painting after a long break. Since then, he has returned to the theme and technique again and again. The result is an ongoing series that has now grown to several dozen paintings. Starting from \"almost simple compositions\" (Ziegler) in bright, matt colours, the painter lends his flower paintings both proximity and distance, intensity and fleetingness.
