On December 11, 2025, 5:30 pm, KiS - Kunst in Seefeld invites you to the vernissage of the exhibition "Still-Leben" by Michael Ziegler. At the center of the show is a recurring motif of the Austrian painter: delicate, almost translucent flowers, arranged in a glass or vase, captured with watercolors on paper. In 2020, these pictures gave him a new approach to painting after a long break. Since then, he has returned to the subject and technique again and again. The result is an ongoing series that has now grown to several dozen paintings. Starting from "almost simple compositions" (Ziegler) in bright, matt colors, the painter lends his flower paintings a subversive power. Complemented by examples from Ziegler's other painting cycles, they unfold their effect at KiS - Kunst in Seefeld in the interplay of light and weightlessness, sketchiness and fragility - a "sensual event" for the painter as well as for the viewer.
