To mark the end of the „Still-Leben“ exhibition, KiS – Kunst in Seefeld hosted a panel discussion with Michael Ziegler, the artist behind the delicate floral paintings. Collector and gallery owner Rafael Jablonka and cultural manager Gerald Matt spoke at length with the artist about the motif of flowers, which is one of the recurring themes in his work.

The audience learnt how the paintings are created, which techniques Ziegler uses and why. From selecting the flowers and arranging them in a vase or a glass to painting with watercolours, the three traced the journey from blossom to canvas.
