Premiere at KiS - Art in Seefeld. The first exhibition is dedicated to the US-American artist Philip Taaffe.
Large-format ornamental pictorial worlds in opulent colours take up partly abstract forms, but also plant and animal motifs. The title of the exhibition refers to Taaffe's work of the same name, which KiS - Kunst in Seefeld is exhibiting.

Great interest in the history of nature and ornamentation
Taaffe, born in 1955, studied at Cooper Union and lives in New York and Connecticut. Major exhibitions have been dedicated to him by the Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg, the Museum of Modern Art in Dublin, IVAM Valencia and the Vienna Secession, among others. His paintings can be found in many museums, including: MOMA New York, Whitney Museum of American Art New York, The Broad Museum Los Angeles, Albertina Vienna, Museo Nacional Reina Sofía Madrid.
