"I've been painting flowers for a long time, but I don't see them as flowers." Ross Bleckner's paintings on this theme deal with time and transience, with light and darkness and, in recent years, increasingly with age, as the artist himself says. At KiS, Rafael Jablonka is showing works by Bleckner from 1995 to 2022, years in which the artist reacted artistically to the threat of AIDS, the death of his father or the illness of his sister. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalog with texts by Bleckner himself, Eric Fischl and Rafael Jablonka.
